“This trip was life-changing. The list is pretty long: I faced my fear of cliff jumping. I met great people and made good friends in just a week. I learned about many things such as philanthropy, small problems, and fitness. I changed my mindset to a more positive one. I discovered hobbies such as hiking, krav maga, parkour, and dancing. I learned skills such as dancing, one-armed pushups, cliff jumping form, hiking form (is that what it's called? The way you walk when you hike matters), etc. I learned how to set goals effectively and achieve them. And I learned, did, and lived so much more. I definitely recommend this trip to anyone.”

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for hosting our boys at your youth retreat. Xavier and Renzo and the time of their lives meeting you as well as the other wonderful youth attendees. They keep reiterating how nice it was to meet other likeminded friends. Playing games, laughing, working together and learning (and NOT being on devices) were some of the prominent highlights of their trip. Also, they keep talking about your cooking…they are asking for the recipes for the food you made especially the enchiladas and sauce, Swedish meatballs, and a couscous oatmeal breakfast. If you have any handy, would you mind sharing please? They are raving about your food! We are so blessed to have had this opportunity for our boys and pray our paths will cross again. I just signed up for your 28 day challenge and can’t wait to continue to learn and grow!! Thank you for doing what you do…Renzo and Xavier have come back changed young men! Sending you and your family love and blessings.

I wanted to send a little note here to say thank you for hosting the recent retreat in Portugal for our teens. We are so grateful for you guys letting them stay with you for a few extra days on top of all the organization for the camp you had to take care of. We appreciate it so much. It was a really special time for them and they appreciated it immensely.

The camp and activities you hosted there were so impactful, the teens didn’t stop talking about them for weeks, and they came away with a new perspective and vision for their lives. They loved the food, the new recipes you included, the simulations, the times to chill and hang out with amazing friends, as well as endurance training sessions, and most of all, doing it with a group of really awesome young people whom they consider some of their best friends.

Thanks for pouring into the teens the way you do. This is the second retreat our teens have participated in, and we are always so excited for them to attend knowing that they are coming back with new perspectives, new ways to give back, and new ideas on how to live their lives in a meaningful way.

Thanks for all you do.

"I wanted to thank you for taking care of [my son on the trip]. He had an amazing time. So much so that when we picked him up the first thing he said was "when is the next trip?!" I felt very happy that I made the difficult decision to send him alone on this trip, because he came back different, in a very good way: determined to work on his goals, be more adventurous, exercise more, etc. He was so impressed with you, your sons, and Devon."

Catherine C.

Thanks again for the planning, leadership, the energy, the chats, and incredible memories and experiences. You and Rachel are rock stars. Seriously!

Frequently Asked Questions
You will need to check out twice and use a different email for each participant.
Most teens are allowed to fly internationally alone at age 15. All young adults are welcome to join.
We will arrive in Lisbon from Marrakesh at 23:30 (11:30 pm) on January 3rd. You can leave late that night or early the next morning. (Accommodations are not included).
I generally do searches on: flights.google.com Kiwi.com I also do 'hacks' where I search from major routes/airports. For example, it can be cheap to fly from NYC to Lisbon, so I will book that flight separately and then book a different flight from my home city to NYC. This doesn't always work, but it's worth researching while looking for flights.
Children of ALL ages are allowed. We once brought our six-week-old baby on this trip. We will be bringing our children ages 7, 9, 13, 16, 18, and 19.
Please be at the Lisbon airport (LIS) before 16:00 (4 pm) local time on December 27th.
We can share with you the company we use. It is usually only $30-$40 per person for the policy that meets the requirements.
